From the Department of Just-In-Case, I recently designated Mom as digital “heir” who will inherit my Facebook account if something happened to me.

She would be able to download an archive of my photos, posts and profile information, change the profile photo, make posts on the page and respond to friend requests. Private messages would remain private.

Visit Settings -> Security -> Legacy to chose your own legacy contact.
