For early Santa shopping or just plain guaranteed smiles, I visit Fab.com – where innovation, style, playfulness, and discounts all come together in this popular flash sales site.
The holidays are approaching, and Santa likes to get an early start. In fact all year round when I see something that might make a great gift, I clip it to my “Gift Ideas” notebook in Evernote. I love finding just the right gift for the special people in my life.
I also love innovation, style, playfulness, and discounts! All these things come together in the flash sale site at Fab.com. Fab is relatively new, and I’ve been cruising the site since last spring.
Limited Time Sales
If you’re not familiar with this continuing trend, flash sales are limited-time sales, usually featuring designer or higher-end products at bargain prices. Zulily is best for babies, kids, and maternity. Ideali and Gilt are suited to fashionistas, and MyHabit (launched by Amazon.com) offers apparel for all and home products. Sales are considered “private”, but membership to any of these sites is free.
Smile – You’re Designed To
Fab is wonderfully different. Its mission is to make you smile. Who doesn’t like that?
The site offers great discounts on fun, modern, everyday design for your home, kids, pets, and more. I always do a quick price comparison over at Amazon, and for every single product – except books – Fab’s sale price plus shipping is still a better deal than Amazon’s regular price with free Amazon Prime shipping.
Check out some of the items I’ve nabbed on Fab in the slideshow above. They all make me smile 🙂
Fabulous Finds
Curated by Samantha
Cow Peek-a-Boo Wall Clock
My daughter loves farm animals, and I loved the roving eyes (they move back and forth). The cow clock was in our kitchen until Rich banished it to the dining room.
Farm Animal Cleaning Set by Boston Warehouse
Those farm animals again – I couldn’t resist, and they keep my daughter busy “washing dishes” in the sink while I make dinner.
Ez Sox for Toddlers
Are we sensing a theme here? Babies are great at pulling socks off. With these loops, my toddler is now working on how to pull them back on.
Germusu Plushie Pouches
My daughter likes to carry little toys around. She’ll find these little pouches in her Christmas stocking.
Topographical Inflatable Globe from Jet Creations
Another toy from Santa. I hope my kids enjoy batting this extra large globe around the back yard next summer.
Reading Glasses by Gabriel + Simone
I’m forever leaving the house without my reading glasses. For just $13, this stylish pair is now my spare to carry around in my handbag.
Faux Leather Bookends by Zuny
Originally intended to bring smiles into my home office, this piggy bookend was claimed by Avery in short order. Who didn’t see that one coming.
Hippo and Gator Stapler Set by Boston Warehouse
Stocking stuffer for my first grader. No paper is safe.
Herringbone Loafers by Keep Shoes
Handsome school shoes for Brian, retailing for $35 and picked up for $19.75.
The Variety Stash
This organizer now corrals most of our art and craft supplies. Currently $34 on Amazon, bought on Fab for $11.
Discounted Business Cards from Moo
$10 off a 50 pack of ‘Luxe’ business cards at Moo.com, which I used for my business.
Mood Rocking Bed King
Didn’t buy this… just wanted to see if you were paying attention…
This company is awesome. Message from the CEO re: the recent hurricane:
“About 1/3 of Fab’s employees are currently without power. The other 2/3’ds of us with power are welcoming those without power into our homes… It’s special. We’re a Fab Family. Our primary interest is the safety and security of our Fab team members and you, our Fab customers, and the broader community. Be careful. Stay safe. Help out others as you best can. Even in tough times, it helps to smile. We’re all designed to—more than ever.”
