Last month an Android mobile phone was launched into earth orbit. The “STRaND-1” nanosatellite is running apps like the 360 App, recording satellite data and shooting images of the earth. The Scream in Space app will play videos of screams and monitor if the phone’s onboard speaker picks up the noise. Mission and app updates are available on Twitter by following @SurreyNanosats.
