Two Little Mice Agree: ABCMouse.com is Awesome
I signed Avery up for ABCMouse.com. She loves it, and I may never get my computer back!
ABCMouse.com is a fun and creative educational program for preschoolers and kindergarteners. Membership is subscription-based, with no advertising, pop-up ads, or links to other sites. Children can learn and explore with their parents or on their own in a safe online environment.
Guided Learning Path
One way to play is the step-by-step learning path. The path leads her through structured lessons appropriate for her age and ability. If it seems too easy or too hard, simply adjust the ability level.
We had fun creating her avatar, and then set her loose on the learning path. Here she is working her way through the “mountain” environment.
Super Fun Rewards
Each completed lesson rewards her with tickets, which can be exchanged for fun things like:
- Virtual pets and food and water to care for them
- Fish and decorations for a tank
- Furniture for her virtual room
- Clothes for her avatar
Worlds to Explore
Another way to play is independent learning. Avery can explore an interactive zoo, farm, classroom, and more where she’ll find oodles of activities like:
- books
- games
- songs
- animations
- puzzles
- art activities
- printables
Special Sibling Time
Most importantly, Avery really looks forward to playing ABCMouse.com, and her big brother is relishing the role of “teacher”. He sits next to her and helps her along.
Join ABC Mouse
After a free 30 day trial, membership is $7.95 a month or $79 a year. One look at my two little mice cuddled up playing together and I signed up for the annual plan. That’s just $6.58 a month and money well spent.
